Review:
When Sara announced that Bryce would be the focus in book two of the Again and Again series, I was ecstatic. Bryce had already stolen my heart in the first book with his unwavering support for Lily, but I wasn’t prepared for the depth of his story, the hidden pain he was enduring or the shocking reveal of his secret marriage.
Haruki’s introduction was wonderful. She wasn’t just a love interest; she was Bryce’s missing piece. Together, they were two lost souls who found each other at the exact moment they needed it most. Their connection was raw and deeply moving, capturing the highs and lows of a long-distance relationship with authenticity. From the exhilaration of new love to the lows of how distance can cause bitterness.
Getting to experience Bryce and Haruki evolve from impulsive teenagers to adults with uncertainty, felt real, particularly as they grappled with the missteps and naivety of young love.
What made this book truly remarkable was the way Bryce’s story was flawlessly intertwined with Lily’s journey from the first installment. Sara masterfully blended their narratives, allowing us to experience the full scope of Bryce’s pain while subtly revisiting the emotional core of Lily and Nick’s story.
Just Try, Again and Again is an emotionally charged, cleverly written novel that can hold its own as a standalone (but I highly advise against it). Whether you're revisiting the series or diving in for the first time, this book will take you on a journey of love, heartbreak, and the resilience it takes to keep trying—again and again.
